Dermal FILLERS

Our goal is to achieve natural-looking results using Hyaluronan dermal fillers that mimic your body’s own natural Hyaluronan. The outcome should leave you looking rejuvenated, balanced, and like your best self.

In aesthetics, we look to treat the causes of ageing rather than just the symptoms. Your injector needs to understand the anatomy and the ageing process and treat the cause of changes. A clear understanding of beauty aesthetics and proportion and how the face should move in animation is also very important.

Our doctor is an expert in the field of cosmetic injectables. We are also one of the few practices where the doctor performs cosmetic injectable treatments.

WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS USED FOR?

The primary use is to add volume back to your face. Over time, areas of the face naturally lose volume as a part of the ageing process. Filler injections provide effective treatments for various facial areas. Lip filler can enhance lip volume and shape, while nasolabial fillers soften smile lines. Cheek fillers restore midface volume and contour, and tear trough fillers reduce hollows and dark circles under the eyes, creating a rejuvenated and balanced facial appearance.

At Vital Face and Vein, we use a Swiss brand of fillers, Teoxane, formulated after extensive research and is regarded by many injectors as some of the best products in the world. Results are fairly immediate and often get even better in the first few weeks post-treatment as the filler integrates into the skin.

    WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
    • Lip filler – borders, vertical lip lines, corners of the mouth
    • Filler nasolabial (smile lines)
    • Cheek filler
    • Tear trough filler
    • Facial symmetry
    • Chin dermal filler
    how is the filler injected?

During your consultation, we will recommend the desired volume, longevity, and type of filler that will best address your concern within your budget. Cosmetic treatments require time and patience, and repeated treatments may be required to obtain the desired result.

This filler is injected into the skin to create volume, resulting in a healthy and rejuvenated appearance. Using a very fine needle or cannula, to minimise pain or discomfort, our doctor will inject small amounts into the area where results are desired. This treatment is generally quick and simple. Afterward, you may experience some very minor side effects including swelling, redness, and some tenderness. These side effects do not usually last more than a day or so.

Hyaluronic products are the safest option for fillers. In the rare instance that a patient experiences a complication or is unhappy with your result, Hyaluranon dermal fillers can be reversed.

    WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

You will see immediate results of the injections after the procedure. Although, you may have some swelling right after the treatment, so your face will appear more volumised. Within a few days, the swelling will go down. It can take up to 4 weeks for the filler to hydrate and integrate into the skin and the final result is seen.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Treatments vary among patients, however, on average, patients need 1 – 2 treatment sessions, each 4 weeks apart, to experience the best results.

    HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Generally, the effects last for about 12-24 months, but this varies slightly from patient to patient. Injections can be repeated as necessary.

    WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?

The side effects are minimal, but common side effects can include localized pain, inflammation, redness, itching, bruising and/or swelling. These are all normal side effects and disappear within a few days.
Serious complications are very rare, and the doctor will go through all risks at the time of your consultation.

    HOW MUCH DOWNTIME IS REQUIRED?

There is very little social downtime after a treatment. You may have some swelling, numbness and redness for a few hours following the procedure, but you will be able to go back about your daily activities as soon as you feel comfortable with how you look.

    DO DERMAL FILLERS HURT?

The products have anaesthetic incorporated into them, so this will numb the area as the area is treated. Ice and a topical anesthetic can be applied if needed, however, most patients find the discomfort of the treatment acceptable.

    HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Each patient’s needs are different, so there is no one set cost. We will assess your personal needs and let you know how much your treatment will cost. Treatments generally start from $795 and 2 tubes of filler start from$1600.

CAN TEOSYAL AND BOTOX ® BE USED TOGETHER?

Yes. The mechanism of action for Teosyal is different from Botox® because Teosyal adds back volume whereas Botox® simply stops muscle contraction. These very different methods yield different results. However, these popular injectables are often used together to give you greater results. We use Botox ® to prevent new wrinkles from forming and Teosyal to fill the ones that you already have. Additionally, studies have shown that by combining these two the results of the treatment will last longer. By minimizing muscle contractions with a neuromodulator, the effects of a filler last longer. During your consultation, our doctor will let you know if this combination will work for you.
